Useful Tip: If you are having lunch, ask for the meal of the day or 'dienos pietus'.
Usually you will be served quicker and cheaper.
Chic
Dublis
Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Vilnius, located on Traku street. I recommend to go for lunch, you will get a meal of the day for 12 Eur, with a soup, main meal and dessert. In the evening it is quite expensive, but you can try out everything cheaper by going there for lunch. The deserts are the best especially with salted caramel. Great service. The design is quite minimalist. Enjoy! https://www.facebook.com/dublisvilnius/ |
Bistro 18
A simple and charming family-owned restaurant, managed by an Irish-Lithuanian couple, Bistro 18 is recognised as one of the best dining options in Vilnius. The bistro offers a good selection of modern international cuisine, from the warm goat cheese salad and chanterelles with cream and bacon, to scallops with green pea puree and Indian-style red curry with vegetables and basmati rice. The simple and spacious interior, with wooden flooring, white walls and exposed brick vaults, flanked by shelves of wine bottles, ensures a cozy and laid back atmosphere. https://www.facebook.com/bistro18/ |
Vegetarian
Vegafé
Really nice soydrink-shakes, great eggplant with chutney and superfriendly personel. Located on Totorių street not far from Gedimino prospektas. You can check out the Money Museum after a good mango lassi and stew with toffu. https://www.facebook.com/Vegafe-449558878424742/ Radharanė Located on Gedimino prospektas the food is good, but the interior is not as cozy as Vegafé. I recommend the cauliflower and paneer in a creamy sauce), the goulash, koftas, spinach paneer patties, rice and salad. https://www.facebook.com/Radharane/ |
Hipster bars
Peronas
Located near the Train Station it is a great place to hang out in the summer, the two bars "Peronas" and "Que Pasa" are located on the railway. It's great to have a drink, not that good for dinner, except the Nachos from Que Pasa. If you go there in the evening better to grab a Uber, as it's located in the train and bus station district. https://www.facebook.com/quepasalounge/ |
Kiaule Ruke (The smoking pig) Great place for pulled pork burgers. This place got famous by posting a painting of Trump and Putin making out. Great marketing campaign. They have also a great hipster design. It is more a place just to get a burger. Next to the Hales market. www.facebook.com/keule.ruke/ |
Soviet Style
Sultiniai
Sultiniai is very strange place in the center of Vilnius. Its owners have a time machine, and they turned back time. All this was in dark Soviet times, when Lithuania was occupied. Surprisingly, but since then nothing has changed in this tavern. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g274951-d11660717-Reviews-Sultiniai-Vilnius_Vilnius_County.html |
